Each Monday in February from 11:30 AM to 1 PM, the church will be offering a lunch that contains a choice of soup (there will be 3 choices), cornbread or crackers, dessert, and a beverage of tea or water. This week’s Wednesday night FAD will feature some special guests. The Limestone College Steel Drum Band will be playing from 6:15 p.m. – 7 p.m. Supper starts at 5:45 p.m, so come join us and enjoy some high-energy live entertainment afterwards.

Spectacular Thursday is on February 23, 2012. Kim Coleman is the guest speaker. Tickets are $10 and are on sale now. Please see Jane Harmon for tickets and more information.
Buford Street United Methodist Church will be having a chicken stew fund raiser on Saturday, January 14 from 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. You can eat in or take out, and the stew can also be bought by the gallon. Hot dog plates will also be available.
Tickets are $6 each, or $20 for the family.
We need your help to spread the word and to sell tickets. Please tell all your family, friends, and neighbors. We also need clean gallon milk jugs. If you have any, please drop them off at the church office.

Proceeds will go to the operating budget, the Family Life Center, and the new A/C unit.

Our current Sunday morning worship schedule is:
Sunday School – 9:30 a.m.
Worship Service – 10:30 a.m.
This schedule will continue through Easter. Church Council will meet on March 25 to determine a permanent schedule going forward.

We will be having a worship service on Christmas Eve at 5 p.m. and a service on Christmas Day at 10:30 a.m. Merry Christmas and we hope to see you there!
This is a reminder that during Advent our service times change. This Sunday, November 27, marks the beginning of Advent. Sunday School will begin at 9:30 a.m., and we will have only one worship service which starts at 10:30 a.m. Please remind all of your friends and family.
This Sunday, October 30th, will be Consecration Sunday. Sunday School will begin at 9:30 AM, and we will only have one worship service at 10:30 AM. Also, lunch will be served in the Family Life Center immediately after the service. We hope to see you there!
The Sprouse Class at BSUMC will be holding its annual yard sale in the church parking lot again this year on October 8th from 6 AM to 12:30 PM. If you would like to donate items for either the Yard Sale or the baked goods and canned items sale, please contact us. Proceeds from the sale will go to church-supported projects sponsored by the class. Thank you for your support.
