Pastor – Joseph James
Joseph James has been the pastor here at Buford Street since June 2008. He is married to Kathy and three sons Aaron, Joe, and Lewis. He is originally from Hemingway, SC. He graduated from Wofford and also graduated from the Candler School of Theology. His hobbies include watching Wofford football, spending time with his sons and wife, morning walks with quiet devotions with the Lord. We are extremely blessed to have him as our minister. Director of Christian Education – Stephanie Turner
Stephanie Turner is our Director of Christian Education here at Buford Street. She has served in that position for over 15 years! She is originally from Gaffney, SC. She is a graduate of Limestone College with a Bachelors of science, Later she graduated from seminary at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Christian Education. Director of Music – Sharon Thompson

Sharon Thompson is our director of music here at Buford Street. She has served in this position since September 2009. She is currently teaching music at Draytonville and Corinth Elementary Schools, Thompson taught for several years at the public school in Husavik, Iceland, where she was also choirmaster for the local Lutheran church. She worked for five years as a music therapist with the South Carolina Department of Mental Health; and as a soprano soloist, appeared throughout the U.S., UK, Iceland, and Korea and was a regional winner in the San Francisco and Metropolitan Opera Auditions.
Secretary – Judy Fitzgerald
Judy Fitzgerald is the secretary here at Buford Street. She has served in this position since September 2008. She attends Cherokee Creek Baptist. She is very active in her family and loves her grandchildren! She does everything from our newsletter, to our bulletin, to maintaining order in the office!
